Sneak Peek at The Book of Boba Fett

Disney+ exclusive set to premiere on 12/29

When The Mandalorian Season 2 finished there was a surprise trailer at the end of the final credits sequence teasing this new series – The Book of Boba Fett. After having coming back from the jaws of the Sarlacc, reclaiming his armor from our favorite Mando and helping the team to recover Baby Yoda (oops, I mean Grogu), Boba is seen back on Tatooine sitting on the throne of good ol’ Jabba the Hutt. But was this going to be Season 3 of The Mandalorian? Or was this something else?

Turns out it’s something else.

The Book of Boba Fett is its own series set in the same time as The Mandalorian but adjacent to it. Boba Fett and Fennic Shand go back to Tatooine to claim the underworld throne once occupied by Jabba. Temuera Morrison, who played the original clone Jango Fett comes back to play his son Boba with Ming-Na Wen reprising her role as the mercenary Fennic Shand. With Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni involved it’s sure to be a treat for Star Wars fans everywhere. But what’s Boba’s plan and what does he plan to do if he gains control of the underworld? And will this all tie in to The Mandalorian? Guess we’ll have to tune in on December 29 to find out. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming.
