Harrison Ford will reveal new information about the Star Wars-themed lands coming to Disneyland and Walt Disney World on the upcoming “The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60.” Known to fans all over the world as the dashing rogue Han Solo, Ford will be part of the Disneyland celebration on February 21st giving a preview of what’s to come. First revealed at D23 Expo 2015, there has been lots of speculation about what this new land will entail – attractions, restaurants, merchandise. If you’re chomping at the bit to know, you’ll just have to tune in and find out.

But that isn’t the only reason to watch the show (although that alone would be enough for me). Celebrating Disneyland’s 60th anniversary which will run through the summer of 2016, this special broadcast on ABC of The Wonderful World of Disney is chock full of goodies! For those of you who haven’t had a chance to see the spectacular “Paint the Night” parade, you’ll have the opportunity on the show as well as see some of the new “World of Color – Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney.” And if that isn’t enough, here are four more reasons to watch:
Kermit sings “Rainbow Connection” – I’ve always loved this song and anytime I get the chance to see it, I’ll tune in. This time Kermit sings it with 2016 Grammy nominee Tori Kelly. I’m not sure how it will fit in with the Disneyland celebration, but I’m happy.

Derek Hough, Witney Carson, and Pentatonix – Host Derek Hough will also perform during the show with fellow Dancing With the Stars performer Witney Carson and popular acapella singing group Pentatonix! If you’re a fan of DWTS, you know how talented Derek is and to see him perform in two different numbers is a treat, but to add Pentatonix is pretty amazing.

Josh Gad takes viewers to rarely seen parts of Disneyland – Known to Frozen fans as the lovable Olaf, Josh Gad gives us a tour of Walt’s apartment above the Fire Station on Main Street, the Disney Dream Suite in the area above Pirates of the Caribbean, and even heads to the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland for some frozen Dole Whip.

Elton John performs! – Sir Elton John will be performing his most famous Disney song, “Circle of Life” in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in front of a large crowd wearing Made With Magic Mickey ears. For the first time, you can participate from home by downloading the Disney Applause app which is available on iOS and Android. According to the press release, the app will give you “a second screen, interactive experience that will sync directly to the broadcast’s major musical segments.” Not only that, but Sir Elton will be singing a brand new song from his upcoming album, “Wonderful Crazy Night.”
