Want a bite to eat when you’re cruising down Route 66? Just stop in at the Cozy Cone Motel in Disney California Adventure! In this endearing and faithful replica of Sally’s home from the movie Cars, each cone specializes in a different type of food and all of them, except the Churros Cone, has a cute “Cone” reference. There are the obvious Ice Cream Cones, the Chili “Cone” Queso, Frozen “Cone”-Coctions, and the Pop-Cone. Whether you want a small snack to munch on, something to quench your thirst, or a bite to eat, you can find it at the Cozy Cone.

Craig’s Favorite: Fillmore’s Fuelin’ Groovy Ades

Some of the treats are pretty expected. The normal soda, soft serve ice cream, and churros are here. But there are also some unique and unexpected delights also. The Cookies and Cream Churros, Cheddar Garlic Bagel Twist, Red’s Apple Freeze, Ramone’s “Pear of Dice” Soda, and flavored popcorn. But perhaps the coolest treats are the bread cone entrees. The titular Chili “Cone” Queso is a pretty cool concept as is the Chicken Verde (and pretty tasty, too). The two new bread cone concoctions seem yummy as well – the BBQ Pulled Pork and Slaw Cone and the Bacon Mac & Cheese Cone.
The bread cone is sort of like a hard pretzel – completely edible but solid enough to hold liquid-type contents. We tried the Chicken Verde Cone which was good. My daughter gave it a 4 out of 5 saying that it would have to beat her favorite restaurant to get a full five stars, so that’s pretty high praise. My favorite was the Fillmore’s Fuelin’ Groovy Pomegranate Limeade which was not only refreshing, but more than just a normal pomegranate limeade. The foam at the top was a nice touch and added to the flavor and it just seemed a great mix of both sweet and sour at the same time.
