What Disney Ornaments Will Be On Your Tree?

Hallmark’s Keepsake preview weekend is coming! (October 5-13)

As they do every year, Hallmark is once again making some “magical” ornaments to grace your Christmas tree, and as always they have some really beautiful Disney ornaments you’ll want to add to your collection.  If your tree is anything like mine, you already have a ton of Disney on it, but you might want to make room for some of these others that are coming out on preview weekend and for some that are already out for 2019.

The folks at Hallmark were kind enough to let me review one of the new 2019 ornaments already available – Mickey Mouse Record Player.  I love this throwback to an earlier time as I used to have a turntable like this when I was young.  The detail on the ornament is simply gorgeous and includes working latches to close the record player – just like the kind I used to have!  Designed by Matt Johnson, the attention to detail is pretty amazing.  From the record player lid to the moveable arm to the knobs and speed indicator, it is all well crafted.  This magic ornament also plays music as you would expect from a record player.  By moving the arm of the player, you’ll hear Mickey sing a rendition of Jingle Bells!  At a retail price of $24.99, this ornament is durable, beautiful, and a great addition to the tree for any Disney fan.

But with preview weekend coming up, Disney fans have even more to look forward to.  Already there are some great ornaments out there like the Lion King ornament with music and lights ($24.99 – plays “Hakuna Matata” from the film), the Little Mermaid ornament also with music and lights ($24.99 – plays “Part of Your World”), and the Mickey Mouse Mousterpiece Ornament from Mickey’s Circus ($14.99 – part of a series).  And these are only a few of the many that are available.  Beginning October 5th, a new selection of ornaments is being released.

My favorite has to be the Disney / Pixar UP! Ornament celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the release of the film.  The trademark UP! house of Carl and Ellie is featured in flight with balloons, and plays the theme music from the movie ($20.99).  But there are some other very cool ornaments like the Pluto “Wild Lion” Ornament ($15.99) which is a companion piece to the already released Mickey’s Circus Mickey Mouse.  This one (like the Cruella De Vil ornament ($18.99) also being released) is available only in limited quantities so once it’s gone, it’s gone.  Two of the premium pieces being released are the Give A LIttle Whistle Ornament featuring Jiminy Cricket from Pinnochio ($49.99) and The Fairest One of All Ornament featuring Snow White ($59.99).  Both are made of die-cast metal.  The Snow White ornament has a hinged opening to reveal Snow and the Magic Mirror proclaiming her the Fairest One of All.  Neither has magic features, but the craftsmanship on both is well detailed.  Maybe one of the most fun ornaments is Mickey Mouse Face-to-Face which features a mechanism which allows you to randomly change the expression on Mickey’s face.  At $16.99 this piece is something fun that kids will love to play with on the tree.  But this is STILL only a sampling of the ornaments coming out on October 5th.  To see them all, you’ll need to make a visit to your local Hallmark store and enjoy the new releases yourself or go to Hallmark.com and you can preview them right now!
