Star Wars fans are about to experience the universe in a whole new way. You can spend the equivalent of two days and two nights aboard a galactic starcruiser in a completely immersive experience in the Star Wars universe. Your voyage begins when you board your shuttle that takes you to the starcruiser floating in space. Once you’re on board you will leave the planet behind as you enjoy the trip to Batuu where you will have a chance to join the Resistance or help the First Order. You can wield a lightsaber, visit the bridge, dine in luxury at the Crown of Corellia Dining Room, learn to play sabacc and so much more! It truly is a Star Wars fan’s dream.

Bookings for the general public began October 28, 2021 but a few select groups were granted early booking status including Disney Vacation Club members and Disney Visa cardholders so the first few weeks in March are already booked solid. Each flight can accommodate 100 cabins so space on board the luxury cruiser, the Halcyon are limited. And if you want to sit at the Captain’s Table for dinner, those bookings are even harder to get. Each dinner meal only has space for 11 guests plus the Captain (for a nominal $30 extra fee) which offers prime seating plus specialty courses reserved only for the Captain and his guests. Still even if you don’t sit with the Captain, you are guaranteed to have an amazing dining experience each night you are on board.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser truly is like taking a Disney Cruise in space! If you’ve ever been on a Disney Cruise you’ll notice a lot of similarities such as special dining experiences, excursions off the ship (in this case to Batuu – included with your package), pretty much all the food and non-alcoholic beverages you can muster, as well as fun on-board activities. Unlike a Disney Cruise, you are part of an interactive, immersive Star Wars story where YOU play a part. Be as involved or uninvolved as you like. Dress up completely or not at all. It’s your choice. But don’t be surprised if you’re sitting in the dining room with Jedi, Rebel pilots, and First Order officers all together. When normally visiting the parks, you are limited to how much you can dress the part so as not to confuse other guests, but on the starcruiser it’s encouraged!

There truly is no other experience like this in the universe! And there is no cost like it either. To be sure, space is limited and the experience seems incredible, but it is very expensive. It’s even more costly than most Disney Cruise Line voyages and with those you literally go to different places. But how many people can say they’ve been to space or wielded a lightsaber or met Star Wars characters face-to-face? We decided to book an experience on board the Halcyon so hopefully we will see you there!

Tips for booking:

• Make sure you check out the calendar before you call so you know what days you’d like to go and pick a few dates in case the cabin you hope to select isn’t available
• If you want to book the Captain’s Table be prepared to book on weekdays or very far out as spots are even more limited for that experience
• All other excursions including Savi’s Workshop, Oga’s Cantina, and Droid Depot can be booked 60 days out and are done separately from your cruise
• You won’t have to pay for the entire excursion up front. We only placed a down-payment of about 20% immediately with the rest due 90 days before departure. Like a cruise you can purchase travel insurance and can cancel without penalty before the balance is due.
