In what might be the most spectacular presentation of talent ever at a D23 Expo, this year there isn’t one or two but THREE special performances to please, tease, and tantalize Disney fans of all ages.  Older fans and die-hard fans of Disney animation will likely remember Walt’s Silly Symphony collection of shorts that spanned much of his early years in animation.  If you loved those classic cartoons, you’re in for a treat!  At this year’s Expo a 32-piece orchestra will play LIVE in synchronization with the animation.  According to Disney Music Group, this special show will highlight The Three Pigs and The Old Mill as well as other favorites and will be hosted by none other than Leonard Maltin.  The Disney in Concert: A Silly Symphony Celebration will be shown twice – on Sunday at 11am and 2pm on Stage 23.

Are you still frozen over Frozen? Then you will not want to miss the special performance of Frozen FANdemonium: A Musical Celebration which will also take place on Sunday at 3pm in Hall 23 (the main arena – not the same as Stage 23).  Not only will you be able to “Let It Go” with the original songwriting team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez as you sing along to Frozen favorites, but D23 promises some special surprises in store for everyone who attends.  Sure to be completely filled and fast, make sure if you want to see this that you’re in line EARLY (or get a StagePass for this event if its offered).

"The Originals" promises some heavy-hitting talent and an incredible catalog of songs!

Last but certainly not least is perhaps the event I’m most looking forward to – Disney on Broadway’s “The Originals!” Not only will this special show be hosted by Tony award winner, James Monroe Iglehart who plays “Genie” on Broadway’s Aladdin but it will also feature the voice talents of the original Broadway Mary Poppins’ Ashley Brown and Tarzan’s original title actor, Josh Strickland.  Along with a five-piece professional Broadway band, Disney Theatrical Productions promises the crowd will hear favorite musical highlights from the Disney on Broadway catalog of songs.  This performance will happen twice on Saturday, August 15 on Stage 23 at 11am and 2pm.

If you’re very, very lucky you may get to see all three!  But with so many options at D23 Expo 2015 choices will have to be made.  What are you looking forward to the most?
