Will Buffy and Walker end up together?
Even though the show is called Andi Mack and even though it’s largely centered on Andi and her relationships, a big twist happened in the first episode of Season 3. Well, many big twists. First, we find out that Buffy and Walker are exploring a relationship together which begs the questions – what happened to Marty from the party in Season 1 and 2? What happened to TJ in Season 2? Each season there have been hints that Buffy would become involved with one of these guys but they just sort of disappeared. Buffy and Walker seem really cute together and Walker’s character is great, but my favorite has always been Marty from the party.
Then when Celia asks her daughter for a makeover, Bex works her magic to transform her into a movie star! At the same time, Big Twist 2 happens – Ham (Andi’s grandfather) comes home from his journey looking like a scruffy hobo. Yet he comes home and they instantly reconnect. All is well in the Mack household.

LILAN BOWDEN, PEYTON ELIZABETH LEE, TRENT GARRETT
Which leads to the biggest cliffhanger from Season 2 – what happened to the proposal? Bowie comes back from his tour and we find out Andi and Bex admitted to their planned proposal, and Bowie says “yes!” But Bex sends Bowie on his dream tour anyway. She doesn’t want him to have any regrets about pursuing his dreams. Bowie comes back though because his life is with these two great loves of his life. Both Bowie and Bex propose at the same time and Andi’s parents
Then comes Big Twist 4 – the Andi / Jonah reunion. All through the first episode Andi has been struggling with how to define her relationship with Jonah – and if there even is one any longer. Jonah is about to come back from Ultimate Frisbee Camp and Andi hasn’t missed him. At all. Throughout the episode Andi ponders what to do. Every time a doorbell rings or a person walks up, it might be Jonah…but it’s not. Until the very end when Jonah calls Andi his girlfriend and Andi says they’re just friends. The end.

PEYTON ELIZABETH LEE, ASHER ANGEL
Even though this season has only begun, it’s interesting to see how the creators of Andi Mack are tackling all sorts of different issues and doing so in creative and progressive ways – Bowie and Bex proposing at the same time, Celia and Ham undergoing life changes with age, Andi and Jonah redefining what it means to be “together.” As they have since the beginning, the show has a sophistication and maturity not usually seen in the typical Disney show, but handles it beautifully. Makes sure to tune in and see where Andi and friends are heading this season!
