Introducing Storyliving by Disney

How would you like to live in a Disney neighborhood?

Do you ever visit Disneyland or WDW and just wish the outside world had the same magic and wonder you feel when you enter the parks? Disney is looking to make your dreams a reality as it announces its first master-planned community living space – Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community.

Cotino will be located in Rancho Mirage, CA near Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley Preserve. Walt himself once owned a home in the area and would spend time here with his family. And now you, too, can own a Disney home in this community. While there will be housing of all types (estates, single family homes, and condos are planned), there will be a section reserved specifically for those aged 55+. Disney Cast Members will operate the local community association and will offer through a voluntary club membership access to a waterfront clubhouse, a club-only beach area, recreational water activities as well as Disney specific entertainment throughout the year (Disney Christmas parties?). They are even planning such curated experiences as wellness programming, cooking classes, seminars, and entertainment.

The community is being planned around a 24-acre grand oasis using Crystal Lagoons technology which will use low water consumption and minimum additives. Shopping, dining, a beachfront hotel and park are also being planned for the community. Walt’s original plan for Epcot was to be a master-planned functioning community and that dream is coming to life in Rancho Mirage, CA near where Walt once owned a home. It’s nice to know that even dreams long delayed can come true.
