Dole Whip now has an adult twist. Only available at the Disneyland Hotel, Dole Whip can be purchased with an extra punch of flavor – RUM! This new concoction can be found at The Coffee House next to Goofy’s Kitchen. Ironically, this home of the first ever Dole Whip with alcohol is at an establishment only open from 6am to 4pm. Some might say that’s a little early for rum. But it’s inventive that they have made something different for adults based on this Disney fan favorite treat.

Location: Disneyland Hotel
Type: Quick service
Specialty: Morning snack foods – and Dole whip
Cost: $3-$9 – most things are between $3 and $5, it’s the Dole whip that costs the most
Craig’s Favorite: Dole whip float – I’m not big on rum
The Coffee House is by no means extraordinary. It stands out about as much as its name – which is to say not at all. They offer pretty standard coffee house fare and little of it exceptional. Bagels, muffins, croissants, and cookies. They also serve coffee, espresso, hot chocolate, tea, iced coffee and iced tea. And then you notice that they serve Dole Whip which just completely stands out from the rest. It is also the most expensive item on the menu ranging from $4.49 for Dole Whip to $8.75 for Dole Whip with a splash of rum.

Coming in for the Disneyland Afternoon High Tea, we noticed people walking out of the hotel with Dole Whip in hand. We asked our tea specialist where they were getting it from, since it was obvious they didn’t travel with it all the way from the park, and she told us about The Coffee House so we went to check it out for ourselves. We didn’t have anything this time, but its just great to know that you can get a Dole Whip without the long lines somewhere else on Disney property other than the Tiki Bar. Besides The Coffee House, the only other place to get a Dole Whip without the huge line was at The Local Place in Torrance.

If you’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel and want a special afternoon treat or just craving a Dole Whip, head over to The Coffee House and enjoy. Or if you’re in Downtown Disney and want a Dole Whip without heading to the park, the lines will be much shorter at this little hideaway. Either way, this is the only place to get a Dole Whip with rum!
